Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Colorado to lead detailed electrical power systems design for water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, and greenfield projects with minimal supervision.

You will collaborate with clients and design staff, prepare contract drawings and specs, select equipment, and lead through construction including submittals and startups. B.S. in EE, PE license, 10+ years in water, and design-build experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and P.E. licensure.
• 10+ years in the water industry as an electrical engineer.
• Experience delivering municipal projects via multiple delivery methods.
• Experience with equipment sizing, grounding, and relay coordination.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70, 70E and 820.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and lead contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical power system designs for water facilities.
• Coordinate with clients and cross-disciplinary teams for project success.
• Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and prepare record drawings.
• Provide construction phase support and startup activities.
• Write and edit electrical specifications and cost estimates.
