Job summary

The AES Corporation, a premier US-based power company, seeks an Engineer or Senior Engineer to join the Transmission & Distribution Standards team. You will develop and continuously improve engineering standards supporting safe, reliable operation for AES Indiana and AES Ohio.

Responsibilities include creating equipment specs, design guides, and construction standards, plus collaborating with cross-functional teams to balance safety, cost, constructability, and asset performance.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree required.
• Senior Engineer: minimum 3 years in T&D or substation work; Engineer: 1 year+.
• Strong ability to read and apply technical standards (IEEE/ANSI).

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support engineering standards for transmission, distribution, and substation systems.
• Provide technical guidance to teams to ensure safety, quality, reliability, and project objectives.
• Develop equipment specifications, design guides, and construction standards for 12 kV to 345 kV.
• Collaborate with AES Indiana and AES Ohio teams to align practices and standardize approaches.
