Job summary

Silver Engineering is a high-tech firm delivering electrical, mechanical and software solutions for space systems and ground support. We seek an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and test critical electrical subsystems.

The role emphasizes creating schematics, layouts and simulations; collaborating with PCB teams; and providing design guidance. Requires 4+ years of experience and a DoD Secret clearance. In-person work in Melbourne, FL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
• 4+ years of relevant electrical design and development experience.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain (U.S. citizenship required).
• Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, circuit troubleshooting, and analytical problem solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Create electrical schematics, layouts, and specifications for digital, analog, and power systems.
• Component Selection: Analyze specifications and reliability to select optimal components.
• Analysis & Simulation: Perform calculations and simulations to model and validate designs.
• PCB Collaboration: Guide PCB layout engineers with constraints and reviews.
• Integration & Testing: Test, troubleshoot, and debug complex circuits with lab equipment.
• Mentorship: Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Cross-Functional Teamwork: Participate in design reviews and collaborate across disciplines.
