Job summary

TMMG, LLC in Chesapeake, VA seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead shipboard electrical design and execution within the EDT for MSC, Navy, USCG, and maritime operators. The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years experience, with AutoCAD and power-system analysis tools; security clearances and CAC eligibility are required.

Travel up to 10% and on-site/remote work options are available.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related discipline).
Minimum 10 years of post-graduate experience supporting shipboard electrical systems, marine power plants, or shipyard electrical installations.
Demonstrated experience leading electrical design efforts for ship repair, modernization, or new installation projects.

Responsibilities

Provide senior-level leadership for electrical engineering execution and design authority on projects.
Lead development and review of shipboard electrical design deliverables (one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring and control diagrams, block diagrams, cable schedules).
Lead or support ship checks, troubleshooting, and integration of electrical systems.
Ensure compliance with IEEE, ABS, NAVSEA, and USCG requirements; support audits and design approvals.
