Job summary

Salas O'Brien in Cincinnati is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead the design of electrical, lighting, and related systems for industrial facilities. The role spans from concept through permitting and construction, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and interfacing with clients.

Located in Cincinnati with a 100% remote schedule, you will mentor engineers, ensure code compliance, develop electrical plans and studies, and help grow the business through technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible professional electrical engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical design experience for heavy industrial, process, manufacturing, or similarly complex facilities.
• Active Professional Engineer license required, with ability to obtain registration in additional jurisdictions.
• Demonstrated experience as lead electrical engineer or engineer of record.
• Ability to independently resolve complex engineering issues and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical plans, one-lines, specifications, calculations, and studies.
• Lead engineering and design activities from concept through permitting, construction, and closeout.
• Coordinate design and schedules with architectural, structural, mechanical, process, instrumentation disciplines, and suppliers.
• Lead client presentations, design reviews, and project progress meetings.
• Maintain project costs, schedules, and documentation; ensure accurate permanent files.
