What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

1. Design and/or check deliverables associated with Power Generation projects
2. Coordinate electrical work with a multi-disciplined team
3. Ensure assigned projects are completed on time, on budget, and meet client expectations
4. Participate in design review meetings and effectively communicate project and technical information
5. Travel to client facilities for field information gathering and design review meetings

What is Required (Qualifications):

1. BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university
2. 10 to 15 years of experience in fossil and hydro power generation projects
3. Professional Engineer (PE) required
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

1. Familiarity with Pacific Gas & Electric, Southern California Edison, or other power generating utility processes
2. Experience with low voltage and medium voltage power distribution
3. Knowledge of motor controls for both low voltage and medium voltage
4. Proficiency in power distribution system modeling software (ETAP or similar)
5. Previous experience in back-checking work to minimize rework
