Job summary

TotalEnergies Petrochemicals & Refining USA, Inc. seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer for its Port Arthur platform in TX. You will lead I&E design and maintenance, ensuring power reliability and safe operation across refinery units.

Responsibilities include advancing I&E standards, supporting turnarounds, and coordinating with utility providers. Strong communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration are essential; on-call and extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

BS Electrical Engineering degree.
Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in a petrochemical facility.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Knowledge of ISA, ANSI, NEC, NESC, IEEE, and OSHA 1910 standards.
Experience in protective relaying.
Experience in design and troubleshooting of 480V to transmission voltages.

Responsibilities

Oversee I&E design, configuration, maintenance and documentation for the refinery.
Support plant maintenance with troubleshooting and repair of I&E equipment.
Provide I&E services for refinery capital and expense projects.
Provide technical I&E services during turn-around activities.
Reduce maintenance costs and improve safety by addressing faulty instrument installations.
Develop and issue MOC documentation to satisfy OSHA PSM requirements.
Monitor and revise I&E procedures to align with best practices.
Investigate equipment failures and issue change recommendations.
