Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee complex electrical system design for building projects and to mentor a team of engineers and designers. You will collaborate with project managers and discipline leaders, ensuring high-quality design and strong client relationships.

You will guide technical direction, contribute to early planning, and help grow the South Facilities & Design team while upholding Olsson’s standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years designing electrical systems for complex building projects.
• PE license required or applicable in jurisdiction.
• Strong experience with power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems for facilities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit; experience leading technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex electrical system design and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Set QA/QC standards and electrical design best practices.
• Mentor engineers and designers, providing technical reviews and career guidance.
• Support design strategy with project managers and discipline leaders.
• Engage with clients as a technical advisor and participate in meetings.
