Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design and delivery of electrical systems for multiproject programs from our Minneapolis, MN or Chicago, IL offices. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, oversee power distribution, microgrid and lighting design, and ensure constructability and compliance with budget.

Ideal candidates will have a PE license, 6+ years of related experience, and proficiency with SKM, AutoCAD and Revit, along with strong communication and mentoring skills for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 6+ years of related experience.
• Professional Engineering License.
• Proficient in SKM and electrical analysis software.
• Proficiency using AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Designs power distribution systems, microgrids, lighting systems.
• Performs Construction Administration services, including review of shop drawings, RFI’s and review of contractor proposed change orders
• Evaluates feasibility of alternative design approaches with senior team members
• Performs site/field visits to ascertain existing conditions including equipment condition evaluations
• Organizes/plans projects to ensure quality controls and project criteria are met and within budget
• Assists in preparing proposals and presenting to Clients
• Acts as a Deputy Project Manager assisting with workload planning
• Assists with mentoring of junior staff within the Electrical Department
