Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions in Birmingham, AL seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical systems for power generation and distribution projects, including gas turbines, renewables, and battery energy storage systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical, preferably in EPC environments.

Responsibilities

• Produce estimate level preliminary designs and material take-offs.
• Develop and assemble scopes, drawings and specifications into a package for procurement.
• Lead the development of detailed design deliverables including motor elementary diagrams, electrical cable schedules, equipment specification, and MTOs.
• Conduct arc flash studies, grounding grid analysis, and relay coordination.
• Prepare construction packages and support field implementation.
• Provide on-site startup and commissioning support as needed.
