Job summary

BCP Engineers & Consultants is seeking an electrical engineer for a 12-month assignment. Candidates may work from Charlotte, NC; Stonington, CT; or San Antonio, TX, with standard 40-hour weeks and occasional overtime.

You will perform calculations, evaluations, and design support for electrical power distribution systems and coordinate on-site activities. The role requires 4+ years of experience, familiarity with ETAP or SKM Power Tools, and the ability to obtain nuclear facility access.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Knowledge of electrical power distribution systems, load flow, voltage drop, and short-circuit analysis.
• Experience with ETAP or SKM Power Tools.
• Ability to obtain nuclear facility access and travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical engineering calculations, system evaluations, and design support.
• Analyze power distribution systems including switchgear, MCCs, and circuit breakers.
• Prepare engineering documentation and participate in design reviews.
• Support project planning, field investigations, equipment verification, and commissioning.
• Coordinate with project teams and travel to client sites as needed.
