Job summary

Emerson Electric Co. in Elyria, OH (and Rockford, IL) is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to drive power and mixed-signal electronics for motor control, BLE connectivity, and test and measurement applications.

You will collaborate across Mechanical, Embedded Systems, and Software teams to turn bold concepts into reliable products that delight customers and fuel growth. Responsibilities include circuit design, PCB layout, safety/regulatory testing, and technical risk assessments, with

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience with electrical engineering for product design.
Legal authorization to work in the United States—sponsorship will not be provided.
Proficiency in circuit design and PCB layout.

Responsibilities

Carry out circuit design and PCB layout while following relevant design standards.
Define, plan, and coordinate development, product qualification, safety, and regulatory‑compliance testing.
Conduct concept feasibility assessments and technical risk evaluations for new products.
Evaluate new and emerging technologies.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring for junior engineers, including hands‑on problem solving, and debugging.
Support field investigations, manufacturing, and supply chain issue resolution throughout the product lifecycle.
