Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Electrical Engineer for its Industrial Business Unit. The role focuses on design and delivery of complex substation and industrial projects to ensure reliability, safety, and efficiency of power systems.

The position is hybrid and based in Utah, with collaboration across the firm. You'll create designs, perform studies, develop documentation, update requirements, attend conferences, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or related engineering field.
• 3 years of related experience; travel may be required.
• Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Create basic to moderately complex designs of electrical master system plans and power systems.
• Conduct studies and electrical calculations for power systems and related areas.
• Develop white papers and technical documentation for knowledge management and publish designs in journals.
• Update design requirements as necessary.
• Attend conferences to improve visibility with applicable sales staff.
• Mentor junior team members through technical guidance and reviews.
