Job summary

Meriton Energy Partners seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer for its Livingston, TX operation. The role is hands-on, supporting rental and sales of power generation equipment with commissioning, startup, testing and field troubleshooting.

You will interact directly with customers, work across generators, switchgear, transformers and protection/controls, and travel nationwide and internationally. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Job description

We are partnering with a rapidly growing energy infrastructure business that is expanding its distributed power generation operations across the United States.

They are looking to add an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to their Livingston operation, supporting both rental and sales activities across a growing fleet of power generation equipment.

This is not a traditional office-based design engineering position. The role is hands-on and will involve application engineering, commissioning, startup, troubleshooting and customer support, both from the Livingston facility and at customer sites.

The Role

You will act as a senior technical resource across electrical power generation equipment and associated systems.

Responsibilities will include:

• Support application engineering activities for rental and sales operations
• Commission, start up, test and troubleshoot electrical power generation equipment
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in the field
• Support customers with the safe and effective operation of equipment
• Work directly with customers to understand application requirements and recommend appropriate equipment solutions
• Support electrical systems including generators, switchgear, transformers, protection, controls and associated distribution equipment
• Work closely with sales, operations and field teams to resolve technical issues
• Support equipment testing, system integration and commissioning activities
• Travel throughout the US and internationally, sometimes at relatively short notice
• Maintain a strong focus on safety across all field activities

• Exposure to equipment such as generators, switchgear, transformers, protection relays and control systems
• Experience supporting commissioning, startup and testing activities
• The ability to work directly with customers, operations teams and technical personnel
• A strong safety record
• Willingness to work full-time from Livingston, TX
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally at short notice
• Valid passport and ability to travel internationally

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred, although significant relevant hands-on experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
