Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) - Texas (San Antonio, Austin, McAllen, Richardson)

Halff has an immediate opening for a Senior Electrical Engineer with a Texas PE License to join our growing MEP Engineering team based out of one of our Texas offices (San Antonio, Austin, McAllen, Richardson). The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering design, focusing on lighting and power distribution systems for Commercial, Industrial, and/or Institutional projects.

Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and prepare engineered contract documentation for assigned projects, collaborating with project managers and other engineers to meet deadlines.
  2. Create electrical project construction documents, plans, specifications, and design analyses.
  3. Conduct on-site visits to gather existing condition information, attend meetings, respond to construction inquiries, and report observations. Construction activities may include shop drawing reviews, RFI responses, and site visits.
  4. Assist in developing and maintaining client relationships.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent ABET-accredited degree.
  2. Professional Engineering (PE) License in Texas.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering design for lighting and power systems in commercial, industrial, and/or institutional projects.
  4. Knowledge of NEC, IECC, ASHRAE 90.1, and NFPA standards.
  5. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  6. Experience in Water/Wastewater, Federal, or Transportation projects is a plus.
