Job summary

Entech Engineering, a Nashville-based MPE engineering firm, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for commercial, healthcare, and institutional projects from concept through construction.

The role requires strong leadership, code compliance expertise, and the ability to mentor junior staff while coordinating with in-house teams to deliver integrated building solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years of experience designing electrical systems for commercial, retail, industrial, institutional, or similar building projects.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license; EIT candidates with a clear path toward licensure will be considered.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, building codes, and industry standards.
• Experience preparing construction documents, calculations, and specifications.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and electrical design software listed above.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of electrical building systems from schematic design through construction documents.
• Develop code-compliant, constructible engineering solutions balancing budget and schedule.
• Perform electrical engineering calculations (load, short circuit, voltage drop).
• Ensure NEC and energy code compliance and project standards.
• Coordinate with Architecture, Structural, Mechanical, and Plumbing teams for integrated solutions.
• Serve as electrical lead on projects, manage deliverables and coordinate with team.
