Job summary

Corbin Consulting Engineers in Hillsboro, Oregon, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer, PE, to join our client-focused team. Lead design efforts for power, lighting, distribution, and control systems on diverse technology and industrial projects.

The role requires a PE license (or ability to obtain within six months) and 10+ years as an independent designer/engineer. You will collaborate with multi-discipline teams and prepare specifications and testing documents.

Qualifications

• BSEE or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
• 10+ years of independent designer/engineer experience.
• PE license or ability to obtain within six months.
• Experience with advanced technology and industrial clients preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Engineering studies of power and low voltage systems to survey existing conditions and recommend upgrades.
• Design electrical systems including power, lighting, distribution, heat trace, and controls.
• Short circuit, arc flash analyses and coordination; power quality reviews.
• Low voltage systems including instrumentation, life safety and security.
• Coordination with multi-discipline teams and customer design reviews.
• Prepare specifications, sequences of operations, testing documents and reports.
