Corbin Consulting Engineers in Austin, TX seeks a senior Electrical Engineer with PE to join a dynamic, employee-owned firm. You will work with a multi-discipline team on power, lighting, and controls for technology and industrial clients.

The role emphasizes design, coordination, client interfaces, and technical writing for specs and tests. 7+ years experience and a PE preferred. Benefits include ESOP, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• BSEE or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
• 7+ years of experience as an independent designer/engineer.
• PE license is preferred.
• Experience with advanced technology and industrial clients is preferred.
• Proficiency with electrical design including power, lighting, and controls.

Responsibilities

• Engineering studies of power and low voltage systems to survey existing conditions and propose upgrades.
• Design electrical systems: power, lighting, distribution, heat trace, equipment installation.
• Perform short circuit, arc flash analyses and protect device coordination.
• Design low voltage systems including instrumentation, controls, telecommunications, life safety and security.
• Coordinate with electrical and other disciplines; interface with customers for design reviews.
• Prepare specifications, sequence of operations, testing documents and reports.
