Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join a leading semiconductor facility in Chandler, AZ. The Engineer will develop and review electrical designs to support a 24x7 production environment, this breaks down to being about 70% focused on design engineering and 30% on reliability initiatives. The projects this team is supporting range from one month to a year in duration and the Engineer would be expected to support more than one project at a time. Additionally, this individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute projects efficiently, while also supporting system start-ups, optimizations, and shutdowns. On the reliability side, you’ll maintain FMEAs, analyze system failures, and implement preventive measures to improve uptime. The Engineers also work closely with site maintenance teams to coordinate upgrades and preventive maintenance activities. Throughout all tasks, you’ll ensure compliance with NFPA 70E and other relevant electrical safety codes.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Managing electrical infrastructure from substation to final termination

  • Conduct site inspections to verify construction and maintenance work aligns with design specification

  • Develop and implement power reliability and power quality programs

  • Interface with contractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services

  • Support documentation and reporting for audits, safety reviews, and engineering change processes

  • Stay current with industry standards and emerging technologies to enhance system performance and reliability

Skills and Requirements

  • 5 – 7 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer with a strong background in both design and reliability engineering

    - Demonstrated expertise in supporting critical power systems within industrial environments

    - Experience in managing end-to-end power systems, from substation design through distribution to final termination

    - Active Professional Engineer (PE) license, with the authority to review and stamp design drawings

    - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering - Familiarity with power system modeling / coordination tools, preferably SKM
