Job summary

The Misch Group in Tampa, Florida seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer (P.E.) to lead electrical design across a variety of building types, including public and institutional projects. You will sign and seal documents, coordinate with architectural and mechanical teams, and supervise junior engineers onsite.

The ideal candidate holds a Florida P.E., ABET-accredited EE degree, 5+ years building systems experience, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited); Master’s preferred.
Active Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
Minimum 5 years post-licensure experience in building systems design.
Demonstrated experience signing and sealing electrical documents.
Proficiency with Revit (BIM) and AutoCAD.
Knowledge of EasyPower or equivalent power design software.
Experience with Division 27/28 systems including data, fire alarm, CCTV, and security.
Ability to pass FDLE Level II background check and obtain school/port access credentials.
U.S. work authorization and E-Verify compliant.

Responsibilities

Lead the electrical design for new construction and renovation projects.
Design power distribution, lighting, low-voltage, and signaling systems.
Coordinate with architectural and mechanical teams for design integration.
Sign and seal electrical documents per Florida law.
Interface with clients and lead design meetings; prepare estimates and proposals.
