Job summary

Jayes-Tech-LLC in Tyler, TX is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer with 10–20 years of Oil & Gas/Industrial/EPC experience.

You will develop SLDs, load lists, calculations, cable sizing and routing, lighting layouts, and grounding/lightning protection systems. You will perform short-circuit, coordination, voltage-drop, motor-starting, arc-flash, and lighting calculations using ETAP and SKM, review specs for MV/LV switchgear, transformers, motors, and UPS, and ensure NEC/UL/IEC/IEEE compliance

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; 10–20 years of Oil & Gas/Industrial/EPC experience.
PE license and strong NEC code knowledge.
Experience with ETAP/SKM; proficiency in Excel; fluent in English.
Experience selecting and sizing electrical equipment; hazardous area classifications.
Knowledge of Navisworks, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Develop electrical deliverables including SLDs, load lists, calculations, cable sizing and routing, lighting layouts, and grounding/lightning protection systems.
Perform short-circuit, coordination, voltage-drop, motor-starting, arc-flash, and lighting calculations using ETAP and SKM.
Prepare and review specs, data sheets, and material requisitions for MV/LV switchgear, transformers, motors, UPS, VFDs, and lighting systems.
Ensure designs comply with NEC, UL, IEC, IEEE, API standards and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Support vendor clarifications, review vendor drawings, and assist with construction, testing, and commissioning activities.
Estimate man-hours for project proposals and support field installation teams.
