Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electronic design and development of Ortec brand nuclear instrumentation and measurement systems used for radiation detection.

The role covers all board-level design with emphasis on mixed-signal circuits, low-noise amplifiers, ADCs, as well as digital and power supply design. The engineer will conceptualize, design, simulate, implement and validate electronics, perform schematic capture, prototyping and PCB bring-up, and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• MS in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant electronics design experience.
• Experience with mixed-signal and analog circuit design.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, simulate, implement and validate low-noise electronics using mixed signal, analog, digital and software development techniques.
• Execute schematic capture, feasibility and prototyping, PCB bring-up, debugging, verification testing, and performance characterization of new designs.
• Electronic system design and integration of components such as displays, touch panels and batteries.
• Support compliance testing and documentation.
• Provide technical assistance to Manufacturing and Customer Service
• Team with Marketing to align product design and performance specifications to overall product requirements.
• Develop and/or implement new technologies to address market opportunities.
