Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Williams Controls in Portland, OR is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, develop and test electrical components and systems. The role involves applying engineering principles, selecting reliable components, and leading NPI efforts for electronic circuitry and PCB layouts.

You will collaborate across teams to ensure timely delivery, review vendor capabilities, and conduct extensive testing to meet regulatory and internal quality standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering and relevant training.
• Bachelors degree and 5+ years of related experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Proven ability to design, develop and test electrical components, equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Determine design approaches and parameters.
• Analyze equipment to establish operating data and test results.
• Select components based on specifications and reliability.
• Review vendor capability to support product development.
• Lead NPI design of electronic circuitry, PCB layout and testing.
• Ensure all design/procurement meets NPI needs and standards.
• Analyze debugging interface circuits for customer applications and resolve issues promptly.
• Oversee EMC reviews to ensure compliance in intended application.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to reduce defects in final parts.
• Develop testing hardware and software for manufacturing and new products.
