Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in MV substations, power distribution, and datacenter infrastructure. You will design and integrate electrical systems for mission-critical projects, ensuring reliability, safety, and compliance with NEC/IEEE/IEC standards.

The role emphasizes leadership in design, collaboration across disciplines, and ongoing opportunities to prototype and deploy advanced power solutions for secure facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required; 5+ years in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's 3+ years).
• PE license preferred.
• 6+ years designing complex electrical projects: MV substations, power distribution, data center infrastructure, industrial power systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead MV substation design including equipment selection, layout, protection and control schemes, grounding, and cable routing.
• Develop power distribution designs for varied projects optimizing efficiency and reliability.
• Spearhead datacenter electrical design focusing on redundancy, fault tolerance, and integration with cooling and backup systems.
• Design industrial process power systems considering equipment specs, power quality, surge protection, and harmonics mitigation.
• Assist with analysis, evaluation, engineering, and implementation of system improvements and deployments.
• Develop designs for large, multi-site data center infrastructure and virtualized environments; document designs and changes.
