Job summary

X4 Engineering is hiring an Electrical Engineer to support multiple projects across medium- and high-voltage power systems. You will lead electrical design activities, develop design packages, and collaborate with clients, designers, and utility providers to ensure compliant, timely deliverables.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, hands-on power studies with ETAP/SKM, and strong communication skills. PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
Strong experience with MV/HV power systems, substations, and transmission equipment.
Hands-on power system studies using ETAP and/or SKM.
Experience coordinating with utilities and multidisciplinary teams.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute electrical engineering activities across multiple projects.
Develop electrical design packages and RFQ packages for client projects.
Design and specify medium- and high-voltage systems including switchgear and substations.
Perform studies (arc flash, load flow, short-circuit, coordination) using ETAP and SKM.
Coordinate with clients and utility providers on service requirements.
Provide technical direction to designers and QA/QC reviews of deliverables.
Ensure designs meet standards, safety requirements, and client schedules.
