Job summary

TAS Energy in Houston, TX is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical scope for modular components and systems.

You will work with cross-functional teams to review customer requirements, ensure compliance with standards, and deliver CAD drawings for manufactured TAS products. The role requires 8–10 years of electrical engineering experience, a BS in Electrical Engineering, and hands-on knowledge of switchgear, VFDs, MCCs, and BOMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 8–10 years of electrical engineering experience in power distribution, modular construction, data centers, or building systems design
• Experience with NEC, IEC, NFPA codes and electrical calculations such as fault analysis

Responsibilities

• Design and develop modular components and systems for manufacturing processes.
• Act as Electrical SME on data center/modular skid design projects and lead engineering decisions.
• Design the whole electrical system including one-line diagrams, schematics, and BOMs.
• Provide advisory support in meetings and align technical strategies across teams.
• Collaborate with CAD teams (SolidWorks, Revit, AutoCAD) to produce accurate 3D models and drawings.
• Size, select, and purchase components such as switchgear, VFDs, MCCs, conduits, transformers, and control systems.
• Generate design specifications, BOMs, and assembly instructions for manufacturing teams.
• Support production during fabrication, assembly, and installation; resolve design issues.
