JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) combines Mission Critical, Advanced Industries, and Industrial & Manufacturing into one high-performing team focused on cutting-edge work to serve innovative clients on large Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. As part of the Advanced Facilities team, you'll work on some of the most advanced construction projects across the country, growing your career alongside our diverse team of industry professionals.


Key Role Responsibilities - Core
  • Learns and actively participates in all aspects of the company's safety and quality plans and culture by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others.
  • Completes entry-level and routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities.
  • Learns how to develop budgetary M/E estimates, based on program and schematic design information using automated M/E estimating systems.
  • Assists in reviewing mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction and completes systems analysis for select projects.
  • Learns to develop the mechanical and electrical scopes of work for the bid process.
  • Assists in bid analysis and subcontractor selection.
  • Develops sequencing requirements and provides solutions to meet schedule needs.
  • Gains knowledge of design documents to identify potential quality issues and develop constructability review reports.
  • Learns to perform job inspections to ensure specifications and expectations are met.
  • Assists with shop drawing/submittal processes and the commissioning process.
  • Supports and promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion, understanding JE Dunn's non-discrimination policy.
Additional Core Responsibilities
  • Performs more complex mechanical, electrical, and field activities.
  • Develops estimates, reviews options, and recommends systems.
  • Coordinates scopes during bidding and develops sequencing and scheduling inputs.
  • Reviews design documents for quality issues and develops control programs.
  • Develops and verifies functional testing procedures and documentation.
  • Creates M/E tools and solutions for process improvement.
  • Continues to promote diversity and inclusion.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Works accurately and timely.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and understanding plans/drawings.
  • Knowledge of construction management means and methods.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering or related field (Required); relevant experience may be considered in lieu.
  • 5+ years construction/engineering experience (Preferred).
Working Environment
  • Valid driver's license required.
