Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer for Northampton, MA to design, develop, integrate, test, and sustain electronics for maritime applications. Role covers concept-to-release hardware, production support, and fielded-product sustainment, with onsite duties in Northampton.

The engineer collaborates across systems, mechanical, software, firmware, manufacturing, and quality teams, ensuring design documentation and estimates meet program needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with related experience.
• 6+ years in electrical engineering in product development.
• Experience with mixed-signal circuit card assembly design and development.
• Knowledge of EMI design, testing, and troubleshooting for CCAs.
• Experience moving designs from concept through verification, release, integration, and production support.
• Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly in documentation and reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mixed-signal Circuit Card Assemblies from requirements to production-ready hardware.
• Derive requirements; select components; perform circuit design and analysis; define test methods.
• Review PCB layouts and coordinate with manufacturers.
• Design or specify test methods, equipment, and cable harnesses for verification.
• Apply EMI design practices and support troubleshooting at system level.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to developing engineers and leads.
