Job summary

Saronic Technologies Inc. seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, build, and test electrical systems for autonomous maritime platforms and edge devices. You will work on power management, embedded electronics, and sensor/radio/actuator integration with a small team.

The role involves rapid prototyping, collaboration with vendors, and field testing or government demonstrations. Candidates should have strong problem-solving skills and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building complex systems, including autonomous platforms and edge devices, focusing on electrical design.
• Experience in marine, aerospace, robotics, or automotive hardware is a plus.
• Proficiency in power systems engineering.
• Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontrollers.
• Knowledge of high voltage/high current systems.
• Familiarity with EMI/EMC best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate electrical systems, including power distribution, motor controllers, batteries, embedded systems, and sensors.
• Develop low- and high-voltage electrical architectures for rapid prototypes.
• Develop wiring diagrams, schematics, and harnesses using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks).
• Select and evaluate electrical components for reliability in harsh marine environments.
• Work with vendors and manufacturing partners to source and assemble electrical components.
