Job summary

Clanton & Associates in Boulder, CO seeks a Senior Associate Electrical Engineer to lead major lighting and electrical projects from concept to construction. You will oversee design, QA, and client engagement, mentoring a multidisciplinary team and guiding project strategy.

You will work with leadership on firm strategy and business development, while advancing technical excellence and service. This hybrid role requires 2 days/week onsite in Boulder and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architectural engineering, electrical engineering with a building systems focus, civil engineering, or a related field.
• PE license required.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of project management experience.
• Ability to work in person at Boulder office 2 days per week.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• Experience leading and mentoring project teams and managing complex scopes.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, complex lighting and electrical projects from concept through construction, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Act as trusted advisor to clients, building long-term relationships and guiding project delivery.
• Collaborate with leadership on project planning, staffing, and business development.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams, provide technical leadership and resource allocation.
• Oversee design, QA, code compliance, and construction document development.
• Represent the firm in client meetings and professional events while driving innovation.
