Job summary

MDP Engineering is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with strong MEP experience to lead and manage projects for commercial buildings in Denver. The ideal candidate will mentor staff, design complex electrical systems, and conduct field surveys and calculations to ensure compliant and efficient solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
• PE license required.
• 8+ years of professional experience in commercial building design.
• Strong leadership, communication, technical, and organizational skills.
• Experience managing a team of engineers.
• Strong knowledge of building, energy, and electrical codes.
• Experience with LEED Certified projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Visual, and REVIT.
• Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects from start to finish.
• Mentor and train junior engineers.
• Design and implement complex electrical systems for commercial buildings.
• Conduct field surveys, engineering calculations, and assessments of existing electrical systems.
• Prepare reports, cost estimates, and specifications.
• Collaborate with other engineers and departments.
