Job summary

Salas O’Brien in Austin, TX seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design building electrical systems for institutional projects and lead a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment. You will develop lighting and power calculations, prepare REVIT documents, coordinate with owners and architects, and ensure code compliance while mentoring junior engineers.

A PE license and 10+ years of experience on complex projects are preferred; LEED experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is required or clearly confirmed.
• Minimum 10 years of design experience on complex institutional projects.
• LEED experience is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including lighting and power for institutional projects.
• Develop lighting and control system calculations.
• Prepare detailed design documents in REVIT.
• Lead project teams and manage projects.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, and other disciplines.
• Perform code compliance research and mentor junior engineers.
