Job summary
CBES is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design across commercial and retail facilities. You will coordinate power distribution, lighting, controls, and EMS integrations, partnering with architects, mechanical, and construction teams. A PE license and 10+ years in relevant settings are required to ensure code-compliant, cost-effective solutions. Travel up to 15% is expected.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
PE license required.
Extensive experience with electrical distribution, lighting, grounding, and life safety systems in commercial/retail facilities.
Responsibilities
Review, design, and coordinate electrical systems for new construction, remodels, and capital projects.
Develop and review electrical plans, load calculations, circuiting, equipment layouts.
Utilize AutoCAD and/or Revit to support electrical design and drawing reviews.
Coordinate electrical requirements with Architecture, Mechanical, Refrigeration, Controls, EMS, and Construction teams.
Perform engineering reviews, redlines, and code compliance evaluations for design packages.
Support bid package preparation, vendor selection, and equipment procurement activities.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
