Job summary

Shambaugh & Son LP seek a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and execution for industrial projects nationwide. You will work closely with clients, project managers, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative electrical solutions from concept through construction and startup.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial facility electrical design, power distribution, construction coordination, and project leadership, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree/experience required.
• 5+ years of work experience in electrical design (essential).
• Experience in the design and construction of industrial, food manufacturing and/or cold box (refrigerated) facilities.
• Professional Engineer license in Indiana or Idaho (not required).
• Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials and codes.
• Ability to assemble bid set (RFP) drawing packages.
• Ability to liaise with third-party electrical design professionals, as required.
• Ability to liaise with professionals from other disciplines.
• Experience with subcontractor management.
• Experience in project management.
• Good communication skills and ability to communicate with customers on remote sites (infrequent travel required).
• Regular and reliable attendance, including extended hours and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and execution of complex industrial projects.
• Coordinate with clients, PMs, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop electrical design plans, specifications, and narratives.
• Take-offs of electrical scopes for budgets or GMP.
• Assist with bidding electrical scopes of work.
• Review consultant designs and shop drawings for design intent.
• Provide technical advice to D/B team.
• Help obtain local approvals for electrical scopes.
• Monitor and inspect subcontractor work.
