Job summary
Novolex is seeking an Electrical Engineer I for Kalamazoo, MI, to oversee machine control and facility electrical systems. You will work with maintenance to drive upgrades, reduce downtime, and ensure reliable controls across sites. Strong PLC, servo drive and AC drive experience is essential.

Qualifications
- BSEE degree from an accredited university or Engineering technical college with minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
- Experience working with machinery in a manufacturing plant setting.
- 5 years of experience in programming and troubleshooting PLCs.
- Experience troubleshooting servo drive systems and AC drives.
Responsibilities
- Review machine controls and facility electrical systems; identify upgrade opportunities.
- Identify risks for system failures; assess, prioritize and implement upgrades.
- Plan and execute upgrades; monitor reliability and feedback.
- Develop PM programs for control systems and training for electricians/electronic techs.
- Review controls on new equipment purchases and ensure documentation.
