Job summary

DSC Dredge LLC is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer III to lead the electrical and automation scope for custom dredge projects from design through commissioning. You will own power distribution, motor control, instrumentation, and schematics, coordinating PLC, HMI, VFD, and networking integration with the Automation Engineering team.

The role requires strong leadership, NEC knowledge, and field-ready skills.

Qualifications

B.S. in Electrical Engineering is required.
5+ years in industrial electrical engineering with leadership.
Knowledge of NEC and standards for complex designs.
Experience reading and developing electrical schematics.
Commissioning experience with industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

Own the electrical and automation scope for complex, custom-build projects.
Design industrial power distribution, motor control, and instrumentation systems.
Develop electrical schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical.
Coordinate PLC, HMI, and industrial networking integration with the team.
Oversee VFD and motor control system design and troubleshooting.
Lead customer design reviews and review vendor documentation.
Develop and enforce engineering standards and process improvements.
