Job summary

WGI is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer II to lead construction documents for electrical and lighting design in diverse markets. The role sits in our MEP team with opportunities to mentor, coordinate with city reviewers and utility designers, and manage project quality. The position is based in Austin, TX or Tampa, FL.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, a PE license, and proficiency with Autodesk REVIT. We value collaboration, client communication, and strong design execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related field.
• 10 or more years of experience post-graduation.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or other professional registration/certification.
• Proficient in Autodesk REVIT.
• Experience and desire to work in an open collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead designer on construction documents for electrical and lighting design across multifamily, commercial, high-rise and hospitality markets.
• Manage quality and execution of project assignments and coordinate with team members.
• Assist Team Leader with task scheduling to meet client goals and deliverables.
• Coordinate labor, workloads and budgets for current and future projects with the Team Leader.
• Develop personal expertise through training, study, and industry events.
• Communicate progress and provide feedback to team members and leadership.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, municipalities and internal teams.
