Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support Hybrid SATCOM across aerospace platforms, including design, integration, testing, and performance optimization of electrical systems and subsystems.

The role focuses on RF communications, power distribution, and networking interfaces, with emphasis on system-level engineering, documentation, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to meet mission objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or Master’s with 6+ years, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Hybrid SATCOM architectures, including military and commercial satellite networks, RF principles, antennas, and modems.
• Experience with systems integration, troubleshooting, verification & validation, and technical documentation for electrical and communication systems.
• Ability to work independently and contribute to technical decision-making.
• Top Secret/SCI Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate electrical systems and subsystems for Hybrid SATCOM architectures (RF, networking, power, interfaces).
• Perform system analysis, design validation, and performance optimization for satellite systems across networks.
• Develop and maintain schematics, interface control documents, wiring diagrams, and specs.
• Support integration and testing of SATCOM hardware, RF components, modems, antennas, and network equipment.
• Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions in lab and field environments.
• Collaborate with systems, network, software, and RF engineers for end-to-end interoperability.
• Conduct verification, validation, and qualification testing to meet standards and requirements.
• Support secure and resilient SATCOM solutions, including redundancy and cybersecurity requirements.
• Analyze performance data and produce technical reports and recommendations.
• Participate in design reviews, technical reviews, and customer meetings.
