Commonwealth Fusion Systems LLC seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to own end‑to‑end electrical design for next‑gen R&D tools. You will focus on 480VAC distribution, safety systems, and sensor integration, bridging high‑power infrastructure with machine controls.

You’ll work with controls, software, and mechanical teams to specify components, perform wiring, and lead commissioning on the shop floor. Strong AutoCAD Electrical and PLC experience are essential.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Mechatronics required; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years designing power distribution, cabinets, and hardware for complex industrial or R&D tooling.
• Expert in AutoCAD Electrical for schematics and panel layouts.
• Deep knowledge of 480VAC 3-phase systems, NFPA/NEC/UL 508A codes.

Responsabilidades

• Design power and electrical hardware platforms for complex R&D tools, including distribution and control safety systems.
• Create and approve electrical schematic packages and panel layouts per NFPA 79, NEC, UL 508A.
• Integrate sensors, drives, safety relays, and fieldbuses; support PLCs and HMI during tool bring-up.
• Lead hardware commissioning, I/O checkout, and debugging using meters and oscilloscopes.
• Coordinate with external panel shops; manage BOMs and FAT activities.
