Job summary

Barton Associates is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design across commercial, institutional, and residential projects. You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with architects and other engineers, and ensure project outcomes meet time and budget expectations.

Responsibilities include design development, code compliance, on-site construction support, and coordinating with stakeholders to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in the MEP industry with a proven track record of delivering projects
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required
• Healthcare experience is preferred
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and mentor junior engineers

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical systems for commercial, institutional, and residential projects
• Collaborate with architects and mechanical engineers to ensure integrated project delivery
• Conduct site inspections and provide expert technical support during construction
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and reports
• Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal electrical codes
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources
• Mentor junior designers and foster professional growth
