Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to drive hardware reliability and innovation on next‑generation building automation controllers. You will bridge factory support, root‑cause analysis, and new product development to maximize uptime and ensure rigorous third‑party validation.

You will lead detailed schematic work, evaluate components for lifecycle and manufacturability, and collaborate with firmware teams to integrate HW and FW.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years in electrical/electronic hardware design, root‑cause analysis, and product development lifecycles.
  • Proven ability to drive complex engineering projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed schematics and circuit designs, including analog and digital architecture.
  • Ensure designs meet performance, cost, reliability, and EMC/EMI requirements.
  • Select and evaluate components with a focus on lifecycle, availability, and manufacturability.
  • Provide technical leadership and design guidance to cross‑functional engineering teams.
  • Support hardware verification, validation, and compliance testing activities.
  • Collaborate closely with firmware engineers to ensure seamless HW/FW integration.
  • Independently drive complex engineering projects and interpret failure modes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve design, test, and production issues.
  • Document designs, requirements, and technical decisions in accordance with engineering standards.
