Senior Electrical Engineer - Energy & Industry (REMOTE)

LHB has an immediate opportunity for a fully remote Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Energy & Industry business unit.

This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from home within the following states where LHB is licensed to do business: CO, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MI, MN, MO, MS, ND, NE, OH, OK, PA, SD, TN, TX, WI, WY.

Position Summary

The responsibilities for this exempt position include, but are not limited to:

• Electrical engineering design oversight for projects including industrial electrical power distribution (high, medium, and low voltage), Oil & Gas, Pulp & Paper, Renewable Energy Solutions, Substation, and Mining & Heavy Manufacturing.
• Project management and PE oversight of multiple projects simultaneously.
• NEC/NESC review/interpretation, design calculations, and equipment selection, including collaboration with vendors and manufacturers.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, project managers, and drafting technicians to execute projects.
• Perform field verifications and organize field data for design applications.
• Produce high-quality professional documentation following LHB quality processes.
• Adhere to all safety practices in the office and field environments.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Licensed PE.
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment background checks and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

• Design experience in areas such as Oil & Gas, Substation, Medium Voltage Power Distribution, Pulp & Paper, Renewable Energy, Mining & Heavy Manufacturing.
• Project management and supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
• Willingness to travel for meetings, site visits, and training.
• Availability to work overtime as needed.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Salary Range

The anticipated base salary range is $105,000 - $135,000 annually, determined based on experience and internal equity.
