Senior Electrical Engineer - EMI/EMC Specialist

A Senior Electrical Engineer - EMI/EMC Specialist position is currently available through Belcan working REMOTELY from anywhere in the United States, including travel. This is a full-time, direct position with full benefits. Great matching candidates will have 12+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering with experience on EMI/EMC compliance and a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. You will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and certifying electrical systems to meet EMI and EMC standards in high-reliability environments. Apply now and Engineer Your Future with Belcan!

Job Requirements:
  1. Extensive experience in EMI/EMC compliance for avionics or other high-reliability systems, including hands-on experience with design, analysis, and testing.
  2. Capability to architect electrical systems and implement design practices that mitigate EMI/EMC risks.
  3. Proficiency in addressing PCB layout issues and performing design work using CAD tools such as Siemens Xpedition and ANSYS to optimize designs for EMI compliance and maximize the potential to pass EMI testing.
  4. Strong understanding of MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, DO-160, or equivalent standards for EMI/EMC.
  5. Ability to perform detailed trade studies, produce test plans, and provide data to validate compliance with EMI/EMC standards.
  6. Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated systems within aggressive timelines.
  7. Willingness to travel to customer facilities during key project phases, up to two weeks per month initially, then as needed.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  2. 12+ years of Electrical Engineering experience with a focus on EMI/EMC compliance.
  3. Proficiency with Siemens Xpedition and ANSYS for PCB layout and design optimization.
  4. Due to the nature of the work performed, U.S. Citizenship is required.

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $120,000 to $150,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
