Job summary

DEKA Research & Development Corp. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead embedded electrical circuit design for a medical device project. You will own schematics, PCB layouts, and DFx activities across analog and digital domains within a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes design from concept to production, rigorous testing, and documentation. You will tackle complex problems, mentor engineers, and ensure compliance with design controls and safety standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in development of complex electro‑mechanical devices.
• Experience developing electrical circuit board schematics and PCB layouts (Altium preferred).
• Experience from concept through production in electrical design.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop circuit boards containing analog and digital circuitry, including schematics, PCB layout, and DFx activities.
• Perform testing, debug, and failure analysis; create test fixtures for development and production.
• Create documentation: block diagrams, electrical requirements, design descriptions, test procedures, failure analyses.
• Develop prototype devices using originality and ingenuity; derive electrical specifications from system requirements.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to facilitate rapid development cycles and ensure design controls are followed.
