Job summary

Maxonic Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for an onsite contract role in Raleigh, NC.

You will lead design, development, and analysis of electronic hardware and embedded firmware for new and existing products within a regulated medical device context. The role requires deep expertise in mixed-signal PCBA design, embedded C/C++ firmware development, and system-level engineering, with hands-on lab work and collaboration with internal teams and external partners to meet requirements,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in medical device or highly regulated environments.
• 7+ years in mixed-signal designs with FPGA exposure and IEC 62304 familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Develop system and subsystem requirements and translate into robust hardware and firmware architectures.
• Perform verification and validation activities to ensure design compliance.
• Lead root cause investigations for product quality issues and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with IEC 60601 electrical safety and EMC standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on hardware/software interfaces.
