Job summary

The Building People, LLC, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer for Department of Defense projects. This full-time position leads design and technical oversight of facility control systems, UMCS, HVAC controls, DDC, SCADA, Fire Alarm, ESS, metering, and life safety.

Responsibilities include calculations, drawings, specifications, sequences of operation, coordinating interfaces, reviewing submittals and RFIs, and supporting testing and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical or mechanical)
• Advanced degree or NCEES record to support multi-state licensure
• 10 years of experience in Electrical and/or Mechanical engineering, including at least five years in this work area
• Active U.S. Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical or Mechanical engineering (required)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordination with stakeholders and preparation of technical deliverables

Responsibilities

• Develop calculations, drawings, specifications, and sequences of operation
• Coordinate power and controls interfaces
• Review submittals and RFIs
• Support factory and site testing, integrated system testing, and commissioning
• Seal deliverables as a Professional Engineer where required
• Travel to active project sites, including secure facilities
