Henderson Group Recruiting has partnered with a cutting-edge DoD sensing technology manufacturer in the Syracuse area to hire a Senior Electrical Engineer – Digital Hardware. The role focuses on designing and implementing digital hardware, FPGA-based solutions, and high-speed interfaces for next-generation devices.

You will lead FPGA development using VHDL/Verilog on Xilinx platforms, design PCBs, and work with a multidisciplinary team across the full product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of digital hardware design experience.
• Experience with FPGAs, microcontrollers, memory, and high-speed interfaces.
• Hands-on lab experience with oscilloscopes and signal analyzers.
• Experience with VHDL and Verilog.
• U.S. Citizenship required with ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

• Lead the design and development of advanced digital hardware for next-generation products.
• Design multi-layer PCBs, develop schematics, and support board layout activities.

• Lead the design and development of advanced digital hardware for next-generation products.
• Design multi-layer PCBs, develop schematics, and support board layout activities.
• Architect and develop FPGA solutions using VHDL and/or Verilog on modern Xilinx platforms.
• Perform hardware integration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Design high-speed digital interfaces, data acquisition systems, digital signal processing (DSP), and communication architectures.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of digital hardware design experience.
• Experience designing analog and digital circuits including FPGAs, microcontrollers, memory, and high-speed interfaces.
• Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and similar lab equipment.
• Experience with VHDL and/or Verilog.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

• Altium Designer.

• RF Systems or Software Defined Radio (SDR).
