H. T. PROF Group in Syracuse is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Digital Hardware to join a cutting-edge DoD sensing technology manufacturer. You will lead digital hardware design for next‑gen products and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include FPGA development, multi-layer PCB design, and high‑speed interface design, using VHDL/Verilog on Xilinx platforms. Strong automation with Python/Bash and lab testing are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of digital hardware design experience.
• Experience with FPGAs, microcontrollers, memory, and high-speed interfaces.
• Hands-on lab experience with oscilloscopes and analyzers.
• Experience with VHDL and/or Verilog; U.S. Citizenship for clearance.

• Lead the design and development of advanced digital hardware for next-generation products.
• Design multi-layer PCBs, develop schematics, and support board layout activities.
• Architect and develop FPGA solutions using VHDL and/or Verilog on modern Xilinx platforms.
• Perform hardware integration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Design high-speed digital interfaces, data acquisition systems, DSP, and communication architectures.
• Develop Python and Bash scripts to automate engineering workflows and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.

• Design multi-layer PCBs, develop schematics, and support board layout activities.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of digital hardware design experience.
• Experience designing analog and digital circuits including FPGAs, microcontrollers, memory, and high-speed interfaces.
• Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and similar lab equipment.
• Experience with VHDL and/or Verilog.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

Preferred Experience

• RF Systems or Software Defined Radio (SDR).
• Digital Signal Processing (DSP).
• MATLAB, Python, and Linux.
• Experience performing design reviews and providing technical leadership.
