Job summary

Allen + Shariff Corporation in Chicago, IL seeks an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design efforts for lighting, power, and fire alarm systems. You will work independently on multiple concurrent design and construction projects, preparing contract documents and specifications with expert calculations and field coordination.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with an electrical focus, 6+ years of relevant experience (Chicago preferred),

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an electrical focus.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience; Chicago experience preferred.
• PE certification preferred; CAD & Revit proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Perform full design of lighting, power, and fire alarm systems with equipment selection for diverse projects.
• Analyze options, evaluate existing systems, and coordinate project documents with clients.
• Provide field coordination, RFIs responses, shop drawing reviews, and field observation reports.
