Actalent, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, test, and optimize manufacturing and installation of instrumentation and controls for skid-mounted process systems.

The role covers power generation, oil & gas, nuclear, industrial, and NavSea sectors, based in Altamont, NY. The position requires 5–10 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering, and strong knowledge of ASME codes and hazardous areas.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field.
• 5–10 years hands-on instrumentation, controls, and low voltage power experience.
• Proven experience with ASME IX, ASME VIII, Zone 2 hazardous areas (UL/FM, ATEX, IECEx).

Aufgaben

• Coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
• Design electric heater SCR control panels, including mechanical layout of equipment within.
• Design electrical junction box mechanical layout.
• Design PLC systems and programming per project-specific requirements.
• Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
• Develop electrical schematics, electrical interconnect, and cabling interconnect diagrams.
• Develop Factory Acceptance Test requirements and provide support.
• Perform detailed calculations to establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
• Prepare specifications for the purchase of materials and equipment, including defining complete electrical BOMs.
• Review technical requirements and prepare technical drawings and specifications of electrical systems to ensure installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in instrumentation and control systems, providing timely solutions, including production troubleshooting and support.
• Work closely with other engineers, customers, and management to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
